KVRD Activities Suspended through March
In an effort to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, Kennebec Valley Roller Derby (KVRD) will be suspending practices, meetings, and events through the end of March. The March session of Skate School has been postponed, with a new start date to be determined. Individuals who have expressed interest will be contacted directly once we have more information.
“We made this decision after a lot of deliberation and thought, and we ultimately voted with very heavy hearts, but we know this is the right thing to do,” said Dinah Fire, President of KVRD.
As a contact-heavy sport, we are unable to practice social distancing. With the health and well-being of our community in mind, it is our goal to do our part to slow down the spread of the virus. It may seem scary - but we can make it less scary by doing our part as individuals.
